The
Topeka RoadRunners have announced the dates for the first round of the
NAHL South Divisional Playoffs. The best-of-five series will begin on
Saturday, April 6 (7pm), and Sunday, April 7 (6pm), against the Texas
Tornado.
After
games one and two, the series will move to Frisco, Texas. Game three
will take place on Friday, April 12, with game four coming on Saturday,
April 13 (if necessary). If the series is tied after game four, the
deciding fifth game will be played at Landon Arena on April 19.
“We
feel that we’re hitting the second season with the right level of drive
and intensity,” said Head Coach Scott Langer. “As our team looks to
step it up and advance, we’re hoping that our fans bring their ‘A’ game
and turn the Expocentre into a hostile environment.”
The
Divisional Playoffs consists of two five-game series to determine the
South Champion who will go on play for the Robertson Cup in Frisco,
Texas. Last season, the Texas Tornado were the Robertson Cup Champions.
In 12 games head-to-head this season, Topeka has a record of 9-2-1
against Texas. During their series this past weekend, the RoadRunners
clinched second place over Texas to gain home ice for the upcoming first
round of the playoffs.
Tickets

the Kansas Expocentre Box Office. For more information about these and
