The
Kansas City Renegades started the 2013 CPIFL season with a 38-27 loss
to the Omaha Beef at Kemper Arena on Sunday afternoon. Kansas City’s
offense was stymied by miscues. The offense committed five turnovers
including two interceptions by indoor veteran qb Dennis Gile. Omaha also
scored defensively when Byron Wilson scooped up a fumble in the end
zone for a touchdown.
The
Renegades played fairly well in the first half, taking a 21-17 lead to
the locker room at halftime. Unfortunately the offense failed to come
back out for the second half as Kansas City only scored one touchdown
after the break. The Beef seemed to find their groove in the second half
as they scored three touchdowns, one defensively.
The
Renegades will be on the road next friday. The will be in Sioux City to
take on the Bandits at the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena.
