McMillan notched Quad City’s third power play goal of the game, this
one on a five-on-three power play and the Mallards took a 4-1 lead early
in the third period. At that point in the game, the Mallards had five
power play opportunities compared to zero chances for the Mavericks.
Stinziani
and Lang made it 6-1 in favor of Quad City when they each scored
penalty shot goals against Mavericks’ goaltender Mike Clemente. In the
final minute of the game, Hellyer added his second goal of the night and
fourth power play goal for the Mallards to give the home team a 7-1
win.
Mallards’
