Well,
this weekend is a little light on the movie side. There are only two
movies being released this weekend. The first is the comedy Identity
Thief, starring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy. The movie tells the
story of a regular guy (Bateman) who is forced to extreme measures to
clear his name. With everything to lose after his identity is stolen,
he'll find out how crazed you can get trying to settle a bad credit
score.
The
other film coming out is the psychological thriller Side Effects. It
tells the story of Emily and Martin (Rooney Mara and Channing Tatum), a
successful New York couple whose world unravels when a new drug
prescribed by Emily's psychiatrist (Jude Law) – intended to treat
anxiety – has unexpected side effects.
There
are plenty of other activities you might want to try this weekend. If
you want to see the important role sports played during the Great War
you could head down to the National World War I Museum at Liberty
Memorial. You can checkout the exhibition “World War I All-Stars: Sports
and the Inter-Allied Games” which highlights the Inter-Allied Games of
1919, an Olympics-type competition that was designed to strengthen the
bonds of understanding among soldiers of the Allied nations after World
War I ended. For more information click here
You
could also take a tour of The Roasterie or Boulevard Brewing (call
ahead to make reservations) or the City Market Farmers Market (8:00
a.m. to 3:00 p.m.on Sat & Sun).
If
you are a motorhead then you are in luck this weekend as the World of
Wheels is at Bartle Hall. Besides the vehicles and vendors on display
there will be celebrity appearances such as Edge from the WWE, members
of the cast of Sons of Anarchy and various Disney channel shows.
