The
Central Hockey League announced Monday that Missouri Mavericks’ forward
Sebastien Thinel has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player
of the Week for the period ending December 30, 2012.
Thinel
helped his team to points in all three of their games last week scoring
four goals with five assists to go along with a +2 plus/minus rating.
The St. Jerome, Quebec native’s least productive game of the week came
on Wednesday in a 4-3 overtime loss in Quad City where he contributed on
assist. In his other two games, Thinel had two goals and two assists
in each contest which included two goals and an assist in the third
period of the Mavs come from behind 5-4 overtime loss in Wichita and the
game-winning shorthanded goal in the Mavs 5-3 win over Tulsa on
Saturday.
Thinel
is the first CHL player this season to hit 50 points (15-35=50). The
two-time CHL scoring champion leads the league in scoring and is tied
for third with his +16 plus/minus rating.
