The Central Hockey League announced today that Missouri Mavericks forward Andrew Courtney has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending December 9, 2012.
In
recognition of his achievement, Courtney will receive a special gift
from Oakley. To learn more about all of Oakley’s products, visit www.oakley.com.
Courtney,
27, has settled back in with the team he played his rookie season with a
year ago. Last week, the Belleville, Ontario native helped the Mavs to
four wins with four goals and two assists to go along with a +3 rating.
The 6-3, 209-pound forward has goals in each of the last three
Missouri games, the longest active goal streak in the league.
An
all-star last season and a member of the 2012 CHL All-Rookie Team,
Courtney began the season in the ECHL and then joined the Mavericks in
early November. The forward was held without a point in his first six
games with Missouri (team went 2-4-0) but has six goals and four assists
in his last eight games and the team has gone 7-1-0 in those contests.
