The
Major Indoor Soccer League announced its Players of the Month for
November on Wednesday, with the Baltimore Blast's Mike Lookingland being
named Defensive Player of the Month, his Blast teammate William Vanzela
being named Goalkeeper of the Month, and the Missouri Comets' Byron
Alvarez being named the Offensive Player of the Month.
Selections
were based on individual performances in games played through November
30, with nominations being received throughout the month from each team
in the MISL.
Alvarez
led the MISL with 24 points in the month of November, helping the
Comets get out to a 4-2 start to the season. Alvarez recorded a goal in
each of the Comets' games in November, including a five-point
performance in their overtime victory against the Milwaukee Wave on
November 11 that saw him record the game-winning assist in the extra
session.
