Topeka
RoadRunners first-year forward Tyler Andrew has made some waves this
season. Having already secured a college commitment with Division I
Ferris State, Andrew is now being listed on the NHL Central Scouting
Mid-Term Rankings Report. The report, released this Tuesday on NHL.com,
ranks players eligible for the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
His
6'6", 205 lb frame casts a long shadow across the ice, but the Bethel
Park, PA native is more than just an imposing figure. "He has great
hockey sense and he's a very unselfish, team-first type of player," said
RoadRunner Head Coach/GM Scott Langer. "He's got a great work ethic,
learns quickly and continues to improve every week. He has a solid
future in hockey ahead of him."
Andrew
currently ranks third on his team in scoring with 11 goals and 12
assists in 28 games. A fixture on special teams, he has contributed
eight power play points and a shorthanded goal. His commitment to Ferris
State begins in the Fall of 2014.
