When
the RoadRunners hit the road, their fans hit Blind Tiger Brewery and
Restaurant (417 SW 37th St.). This weekend, Topeka takes on the
Springfield Jr. Blues and fans are invited to watch the games at Blind
Tiger on Friday and Saturday night. This will be the final series
against the Jr. Blues this season.
The
RoadRunners split the first series against Springfield at Landon Arena
back in October and are looking to gain some momentum heading into their
three-game set against the Tornado. However, don’t expect Springfield
to be a push over. Since their game-two loss against the RoadRunners on
Oct. 20th, Springfield has won five of their last six games (the one
loss coming this past Saturday against the Soo Eagles).
Even
though this is an out-of-division game, every point counts in what has
become a very competitive South Division. Only three points separate the
top three teams (Topeka, Texas and Amarillo) and, with the big home
series against Texas coming up, the RoadRunners need to continue their
winning ways.
