The
Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today a joint effort with The
Salvation Army in an effort to raise donations for those affected by
Super Storm Sandy.
"The
Central Hockey League is proud to partner with the Salvation Army in
their relief efforts for the many people and communities affected by
Sandy," said Duane Lewis, CHL Commissioner. "When you read what people
have been, and are going through, and watch the stories of the lives
affected by this storm, we wanted to be able to assist in this process
however we could, across the CHL family."
The
Central Hockey League would like to rally its fans to help support The
Salvation Army in their efforts in responding to all of the states
affected by the recent storms in the Northeast part of the United
States.
Donations to The Salvation Army will help the victims through shelter, food and other assistance and support efforts.
