Adopt-A-Mav Program Details

Directly following the game on Saturday, November 10th, 19 Mavericks’ players will be auctioned off in a live auction in sections 101 and 102. The adopting “families” will receive an autographed stick from their player, have their picture taken with the player, and receive a custom Mavericks charm bracelet or necklace from Kennedy’s Jewelers.

For the remainder of the season, the 19 players who are adopted will wear a specialty patch with the one family name on their jersey. The families will also have their name in all of the Mavericks’ subsequent programs distributed at home games starting with the January issue. Families will also receive a discount card valid at the Top Shelf Team Store.

There will also be special Adopt-A-Maverick events throughout the season. On November 28, the Mavericks will host a dinner for all of the players and their adopting families. Immediately following the Mavericks home game on December 18, adopting families will have the chance to meet with their player for post-game pizza and players’ families will be welcome as well. Families will be invited to watch a pregame skate on January 5. Families will also be invited to sit on the bench for warm-ups on Feb. 9 or 16 (this will be limited to 2 people per family and it will be scheduled ahead of time) Finally, March 15 the adopting families will be recognized on the ice during the first intermission. At the conclusion of the season, adopting families will also receive their player’s game-used orange jersey signed by the player.

Details:

• There will be no more than 19 adopting families for the entire 2012-13 season.

•Should a player be injured but remain on the club, the adopting family will remain with the same player. • Should a player leave the team for any reason, the adopting family will automatically receive the           

  incoming player as their new adopted player.

• Limit to immediate family or limit of 4 people to events if a group is adopting a player.

• Program limited to specific listed events only.

• Families will not have any benefits not listed or outside of what is listed above.

• Orange jersey given at the end of the season will one be from the player you finish the season with.
