Kansas Magic Get Two New Rivals

Last week the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) announced it had granted membership to the Tucson Extreme and Las Vegas Legends for the 2012-13 season.
The Extreme will play their home games at the Tucson Convention Center beginning in November. The addition of Tucson shows the strong momentum the PASL is gaining, following the previously announced Dallas Sidekicks, Harrisburg Heat, and Las Vegas Legends, in what has been a productive offseason.
The Extreme will hold a press conference on August 2nd to introduce key members of the staff and sponsors and unveil the team logo and jersey. For more information on the Tucson Extreme visit www.tucsonextremesoccer.com.
Making the announcement in Las Vegas was was PASL Commissioner Kevin Milliken along with Legends Managing Partner Meir Cohen. Cohen has successfully operated the Las Vegas Knights in the Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL-Premier) since 2006.
"Bringing professional arena soccer back to Las Vegas is something we looked at with great consideration," said Cohen. "We feel we have the right venue in the Orleans Arena and the right league in the PASL to make it viable."
Greg Howes, the three-time MISL MVP, and former Head Coach and leading scorer of the Tacoma Stars, will coach the Legends.
The PASL is a professional league which began play on October 25, 2008. The league, heading into its fifth season, consists of US teams, the CMISL (Canada), and the LMFR (Mexico). The Dallas Sidekicks, Harisburg Heat, and Las Vegas Legends have been added for the 2012-13 season. The PASL-Premier is now in its 15th season. The PASL and PASL-Premier are members of Federacion Internacional de Futbol Rapido (FIFRA).
